For who are my classes or one-on-one instructions?

 

The impression that most people in our western digitalized world are able to use computers and use the internet on a everyday basis is wrong.

A recent study showed that 40% of the population are "digital outsiders". It is a bit funny, that almost half of the population is called "outsiders" in that study. It feels a bit like people of the digital half of the world look down on the non digital half of the world. But even more funny, a lot of my clients feel that their not-knowing about computers is somehow inappropriate.

I can assure you that is not the case. I believe that first and foremost these 40% had better things to do than to learn something they did not need. But things change - and for a lot of people working with computers and internet becomes interesting when they realize that they can communicate with friends and family. Some may find that their grandchildren suddenly answer their letters, written as an email - within hours. That´ s fun, isn´t it?
